Seamless Migration from WordPress to Storyblok & Next.js

This Education client's website was running on an outdated version of WordPress and a number of custom plugins for lead routing and tracking. Historical SEO had been established for many regional service landing pages.

The Challenge

Client was looking for a visual refresh. They were on a legacy version of WordPress, which could not be updated because of dependencies in a custom theme and plugins. SEO and internationalization were critical features. Page speed was suffering.

The Solution

Bases on the client's content management requirements, we suggested the Storyblok headless CMS. For the front-end of the website Next.js and Tailwind CSS UI Library were utilized. The site was statically deployed on a global CDN.

Custom lead routing by location was maintained, and internationalization was a breeze. Best of all, client was able to quickly and easily expand their geographical reach with 3x the number of location landing pages.

The client is now exeriencing near-perfect PageSpeed scores (the lower SEO score is due to PageSpeed Insights misinterpreting the navigation markup):
